As President of the TCWTA League, I am deeply saddened to announce to you all that the TCWTA League is suspending tennis play for the remainder of the 2019-2020 tennis season. We are also canceling the March 24th meeting.
I know we all would have liked to finish out the tennis season. Unfortunately, there is a governmentally recognized and unprecedented risk to the public health. In an abundance of caution, the board took this action with regard for the safety of all of our members.
This is the vote of your board.
Tri-County Women’s Tennis Association is a fun, friendly and competitive way to play tennis in Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River Counties in Florida.
We offer four levels of women’s doubles tennis: 4.0 on Mondays, 3.5 on Wednesdays, 3.0 on Fridays and 2.5 on Mondays. Our rules allow play on three courts on any surface, however, most play is on soft surfaces.
Our season generally runs from mid October to mid April. Players must be amateur women 21 and over.
Attention: Two board positions, President and Vice President, will be open for the ’20-’21 tennis season. Please seriously consider running or nominating someone who is willing to serve and to give back to our tennis community. Voting will take place at our March meeting.
